This is an invaluable aid in the effective understanding of the performance characteristics of a variety of pumps. The electric motor (AC or DC) is used as a drive unit. The unit has a facility to measure the power consumed by the drive, pump speed, flow rate and pressure.

Various types of pumps can be studied, like centrifugal pump, reciprocating pump and several others.

Optionally, there is a facility to vary the speed of the motor to get various performance parameters for better understanding.

The trainer is complete with transducers to measure parameters like flow rate, pressure, pump speed, etc.

The parameters are fed to the computer via a signal conditioning unit, the interfacing and communication system along with necessary power supply.

The acquired data is then analysed and displayed in tabular/ graphical format by the software provided.

The software is Windows based user friendly and menu driven. Facility to print the data helps students keep a record of their experiments.
