The system is an invaluable aid for the measurement and analysis of cylinder pressures and related aspects of engines. The system incorporates a Piezo transducer. It is mounted in the cylinder head and it measures dynamic pressure encountered in the engine cylinder. Cylinder pressure along with TDC marker and angle marker is fed to the PC through a high speed data acquisition interface.

On the PC, the user can view the P-8 and P-V diagram of a single cycle of the engine. The software also displays the average value of the pressure over one cycle. It may be interfaced with a plotter or a printer so as to obtain a hard copy.
