When a DC current passes through
a thermoelectric cooling module, heat is pumped
from one side to the other by semiconductor crystals.
No liquids or gases are used, giving safe, reliable
and efficient refrigeration. Heat generation or
absorption rates are proportional to the magnitude
of the current and also the temperature of the
junction.
Practical Peltier effect heat
pump consists of many such junctions connected
electrically in series and thermally in parallel.
The equipment is designed to
demonstrate/study the Generating effect, Seeback
effect and Peltier effect.
