This is a trainer for students to understand the refrigeration cycle and its application as a Cold Storage Plant.

The Storage Chamber is properly insulated so as to isolate the chamber from the environment. An air circulation fan is provided to study various aspects of the cold storage plant. The cold storage chamber is equipped with a transparent, hinged door and locking arrangement. The outer surface of the cabinet is powder coated.

The chamber temperature is maintained at about 4° to 80°C with the help of a vapour compression refrigeration cycle.

It has a facility to measure various parameters like temperature at different points, pressure at different points, refrigerant flow rate, etc.

Various capacities of system can be supplied. The trainer can be supplied with an open type, semi-hermetic or hermetically sealed compressor, depending on the requirement of the user.

Optionally, a Fault Trainer can also be provided as an additional teaching aid.
