Multiple Engine Test Rig - HMT08

Description

NiYo Engineers’ Multiple Engine Test Rig is a unique training system that gives best value for money. Instead of having separate system for different types of engine, the user can have multiple engines connected to one dynamometer. This results in saving of costs on costly instrumentation and dynamometer. Students can conduct study the performance of petrol and diesel engine or single and multiple cylinder engines on the same test rig. There is no need for assembly/disassembly of engine coupling to the dynamometer. You can select the engine for study by a selector switch.

The IC engines and dynamometer are mounted on a rigid frame structure. The coupling is secured and has a safety cover. Instrumentation is provided to measure various parameters like, temperature, fuel consumption, air flow rate measurement, load, engine speed, etc. Testing can be carried out at various loads.

There is a facility to interface the test rig with computer.

A water cooled calorimeter is supplied to measure and prepare Heat Balance-sheet.

There is a facility to plot P-Theta and P-V diagram.

Topics covered are,

  1. To determine Brake Power
  2. To determine engine volumetric efficiency
  3. To determine engine brake thermal efficiency
  4. To determine engine specific fuel consumption
  5. Complete energy balance using exhaust gas calorimeter.
  6. Determining air-fuel ratios
  7. P-Theta and P-V diagram
  8. Heat release rate.
